Mission

SCNC will provide a comprehensive post COVID neurological evaluation and rehabilitation plan to restore physical and cognitive deficits suffered brain and nervous system injuries due to COVID infection.

Neurological complications suffered by patients who contracted COVID may include strokes, memory and cognitive dysfunction, Neuromuscular dysfunction, and pain, as well as neuropathy (nerve dysfunction), and others.


Prior to Appointment

  • Patients must bring records that prove they had COVID

  • This questionnaire must be filled out


Provided at SCNC

  1. First appointment: Nurse Practitioner (NP)

    • NP will do a thorough interview and evaluation, review records, and confirm presence of Neurological sequela. The NP will order the appropriate tests for each patient.

  2. Neurologist

    • A full neurological examination will be completed. A thorough examination, review of diagnostic work up, treatment plan, and prognostication will be discussed.

  3. Neurodiagnostic Studies

    • A 4-24 hr Electroencephalogram (EEG) may be recommended based on your neurological evaluation and recommendation by your Neurologist

  4. Neuropsychologist

  5. Cognitive Regeneration and Rehabilitation


Part of your care may include:

  • Physical and Speech Rehabilitation: Depending on the nature of the disability, physical and speech therapy as well as occupational therapy will be provided to you

  • Neuroimaging: Certain Neuroimaging may be necessary as part of treatment (MRI, CT scans, etc)

  • Vascular lab and post stroke assessment: carotid, Echo, TCDs, and other vascular evaluations
