About Dr. Olivas

Edgar Olivas, MD is a board-certified neurologist with subspecialty in vascular neurology. His motivation to seek a career in Vascular Neurology was fueled by his desire to help people and his curiosity of the brain. He moved from the small town of Firebaugh, California to attend UCLA as a pre-medical student majoring in Neuroscience. He completed Medical School at the Keck SOM of USC, Internship at Froedtert & MCW, Neurology Residency at Kaiser Permanente LAMC, and Stroke Fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He now works as a Neurohospitalist at Huntington Memorial Hospital with a focus on stroke care. The most rewarding part of his job is saving lives and preventing a lifetime of disability.
